Industry wary of rate revision for transport of vehicles via railways

The Ministry of Railways has revised the rates of haulage charges, increased the freight rates by 20% for the movement of Bogie Covered Autorake Double Decker Wagon (BCACBM) from the current financial year. OEMs were not anticipating such revisions at one go. They prefer rate hike, if needed, in phases, year-on-year basis, for business planning. Read more at: economictimes
