Mass premium market segment for bicycles is emerging in India, says Sriram Sundresan, CEO, Firefox Bikes

In the past few years, demand for e-bikes in India has been on the rise. The Covid-19 pandemic had its adverse impact on the supply chain of this segment also. However, one positive outcome of the pandemic has been the people’s interest in cycling for fitness and for small daily commutes. While Firefox is making e-bikes for the premium European markets, it is also targeting the emerging mass premium segment in the local market where there will be an astronomical jump in cycling, Sriram Sundresan, CEO, Firefox Bikes, told ETAuto in an exclusive interview.
