Shashank Srivastava unfolds the SUV strategy of Maruti Suzuki to retain market lead

Maruti suzuki has entered the market with the trendy SUVs Fronx and Jimny, supplementing Brezza and Grand Vitara to lift the SUV market share to 25% from about 10.2% now. Though the company has 65% market share in the non-SUV segment, with SUV its overall market share is about 45%. The company wants to have 50% market share in the country to regain the lost ground and retain its unassailable lead position by tapping the sub-segments of SUVs.
