Tata Motors narrows gap with Hyundai at 28,906 units in FY23

Hyundai Motor India, which has been the second largest carmaker in the country for the longest time, clocked its highest-ever domestic sales in FY23 since its inception in the country in 1996. However, during the past year Tata Motors moved ahead to take up the number two position twice. While Tata stands behind Hyundai for cumulative sales, the gap between the two automakers has significantly narrowed from 3.14 lakh units in FY19 to over a lakh units in FY22 and just 28,906 units in FY23. Going forward, with the evolving trends of EV and technology, it would be interesting to see how the OEMs alter their strategies to stay ahead of the curve. Read more at: economictimes
