Tata Motors targets to take EV sales beyond 1 lakh units in FY25: Shailesh Chandra

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, recently launched its first pure EV - the Punch.ev., the first product based on its advanced Pure EV architecture – acti.ev. It is a pioneering addition to Tata.ev's portfolio, embodying the transformative shift in the needs and lifestyle of the contemporary customers. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited., said in an interview that with the addition of Punch.ev. to its portfolio, Tata Motors expects its EV sales to exceed 1 lakh units in FY25. “Our effort is that every new launch should make a difference in expanding the volume of electric vehicles and not cannibalize the demand. Our contribution to the electric vehicle industry will be to give choices for different levels of accessibility to the customer, so that every pocket has an electric vehicle choice available to him/her. So that will be our contribution, and that is what should support our leadership in the market,” Chandra said. He also focussed on the diverse customer segments for EVs and the importance of rooftop solar power systems in the fast adoption of EVs. Read more at: economictimes
