The women driving behind Tata Safari, Harrier assembly lines

At the Tata Motors Pune facility is its TCF-2 (Trim-Chassis-Fitment-2) lines or Omega Factory where the company's Safari and Harrier are produced. Interestingly, the operations at the assembly line are led by a team of 500 young women in their early 20s, who are well trained to lift and assemble even the heaviest car components, manage bulky machines, fix, tighten all kinds of screws and do quality checks for the company’s flagship models.
