After exiting India’s first e-car venture, will Chetan Maini make a breakthrough in e-mobility services?


Chetan Maini, the co-founder and vice chairman of Sun Mobility, and the man behind India's first electric car -Reva, aims to make USD1 billion revenue by 2026 and raise a few hundred million dollars in equity and debt. The company also looks forward to going public, though not immediately. Chetan is aiming to build a robust and scalable peripheral electric mobility ecosystem, riding primarily on providing, “battery as a service (BaaS) via swapping”, and mobility as a service (MaaS) by leasing electric vehicles.
