Continental India expects ‘significant’ growth in content per vehicle in 5 years, talks about next set of growth areas with SDVs


With software architecture evolving in the vehicles of tomorrow, Prashanth Doreswamy, president and CEO of Continental India talks about the pace of technology development in the Indian automotive landscape, next set of growth areas and how the company is working towards this transition. He expects that in the next few years, new vehicle launches in India will feature HPCs, more prominently for body controls and interiors. While ADAS Level 3 and Level 4 are too early for India, he expects a huge growth of Level 1 and Level 2 functions in the next 3-4 years.
