Dengue cases exceed peak of 2019 epidemic
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday urged the public to take more precautions to protect themselves from dengue after it observed a steady upsurge in cases nationwide, reaching almost 6,000 per week. This was higher than the 5,100 cases registered in 2019, the last time the DOH declared a national epidemic.
