Govt may reconsider 80kmph speed limit for cabs on highways
The government is now looking to address this gap and come up with maximum speed limits for different types of roads based on the lane configuration rather than having different norms for passenger cars and cabs/taxis. The matter is likely to come up at the meeting of state transport ministers later this month, which will be chaired by Union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari.
