Group ZF bets on diverse energy options for cleaner future


ZF Group, which has set a target of becoming carbon neutral by 2040, is betting on a technology- mix for a cleaner future rather than taking a straight leap to EVs. The Tier-I auto supplier is open to all powertrain technologies. For PVs, it sees a significant trend towards BEVs. For CVs, powertrain range is more open, so BEVs will be suitable for applicability for short and medium distances-in city buses and last mile connectivity. For longer distances, fuel cells, H2 ICE are preferable. Even diesel engines are suited for certain specific applications.
