Highest heat index at 50°C expected in Guiuan, Eastern Samar on Monday
MANILA, Philippines—Guiuan in Eastern Samar is expected to have the highest heat index on Monday at 50°C, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported. In its latest bulletin, Pagasa said Guiuan and 23 other areas nationwide would likely hit a heat index of 42 to 51°C, which falls under the “danger” category.
