India’s own crash safety assessment system for cars launched; companies offer 30 models for testing


India has launched its own crash safety assessment system for cars, called the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). The BNCAP will certify the safety of vehicles on a scale of "Zero to Five", helping consumers make informed decisions. The star rating will be voluntary, with manufacturers offering their models for testing.
