LIST: Power outages to hit Metro Manila, Bulacan from October 16-22


MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Metro Manila and Bulacan will experience electricity service interruption from October 16 to 22 due to maintenance works by the Manila Electric Railroad and Light Company (Meralco). On its official website, Meralco posted the following areas and schedules for temporary power outages: Quezon City (October 16, 11 p.m., to October 17, 5 a.m.) A portion of Kaingin Road from Sampaguita Road to near Interior Kaingin Road, including Apolonio Samson Elementary School, Huansanwan Food Mart, Kilpatricks Corp., Just Textile Finishing Corp., Orion Wire & Cable, ESC Industrial Corp., Sunflower Umbrella Mfg., Bake 2000 Food Products, Supertank International Co., Eragen Sales & General Merchandise and Distelleria Limtuaco and Co. Reason: Replacement of facilities along Kaingin Road in Bgy. Apolonio Samson Makati City (October 17, 11:30 p.m.-11:59 p.m.) Some of Antonio Arnaiz St. from near West St. to Paseo de Roxas St., including New World Makati Hotel. A portion of Paseo de Roxas St. from Antonio Arnaiz St. to Dela Rosa St., including the Asian Institute of Management Inc. A portion of Dela Rosa Access Road 1 from Dela Rosa St. includes Philippine National Bank Center – Makati Office. Reason: Normalization of line setup due to replacing facilities along Dela Rosa Access Road 1 in Legaspi Village, Bgy. San Lorenzo READ: Meralco hikes October electricity rate by 42 centavos per kWh Makati City (October 22, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) Portion of Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia Ave.) from Dominga St. in Pasay City to Dian St. in Bgys. Palanan and San Isidro in Makati City. Reason: Replacement of facilities and line reconductoring works along Dominga St. Pasay City (October 22, 8 a.m.-8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.-3:30 p.m.) A portion of Dominga St. from Ocampo St. in Malate, Manila, to San Isidro St., including Dolores St., and The Camden Place in Pasay City. Reason: Replacement of facilities and line reconductoring works along Dominga St. Pasay City (October 22, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) A portion of Dominga St. from San Isidro St. to Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia Ave.) including Eusebio, Villa Barbara and Gutierrez Sts.; Rafael Palma Elementary School, De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde Sports & Dorm Complex, The Aston Place Residences and Monaco Garden Tower in Pasay City. A portion of Burgos St. from Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia Ave.) to Taylo St., including P. Dandan St. A portion of G. Villanueva and Taylo Sts. from Burgos St.
