Loyal customer base will keep sedans alive for long: Lexus Chief Engineer
Globally the concept of luxury itself has evolved and advanced from material-based to a more experiential and space-based, Takaaki Ohno, New RX Chief Engineer, Lexus International, told ETAuto in an interview. “I believe sedans have a very loyal customer base, and there is stable demand for both the sedans and the SUVs because they offer comfort and space. There is enough demand globally so that sedans will not completely disappear. The customer base will keep them alive for long,” he said. The edited excerpts:
