MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck off the coast of Sarangani Island in Sarangani municipality, Davao Occidental, on Friday morning. The temblor occurred at 10:05 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in an advisory.
