Magnitude 5.7 quake jolts Northern Luzon


MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck near Dalupiri Island, in Calayan, Cagayan at 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, state seismologists said. The quake had a depth of 17 kilometers and was tectonic in origin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
