Maguindanao del Sur village councilman slain in gun attack
DATU PIANG, Maguindanao del Sur – A village councilman here was killed in an ambush by still unidentified gunmen on Saturday afternoon, police said. Lt. Colonel Armando Liwan, Datu Piang police chief, identified the victim as Leonardo de Jesus Jr., 59, incumbent barangay kagawad of Poblacion, and not a candidate in the Oct. 30 polls.
