Meralco denies being monopolistic, keeping capital cost high
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) pointed out on Wednesday some “factual errors” in the privilege speech delivered a day before by Santa Rosa Rep. Dan Fernandez during the House plenary. In that speech, Fernandez accused Meralco of doing the following things, among others: refusing to recompute its weighted average cost of capital
