No special policy for Tesla; can seek incentives under existing schemes: Govt official
The Indian government has not planned a separate policy for Tesla's incentives. The company can apply for support under existing schemes like PLI for auto and advanced chemistry cells, says an official. Tesla's battery supplier, Panasonic, has been advised to apply under PLI ACC batteries. The government is re-bidding production-linked incentives for advanced chemistry cell manufacturing.
