Ofel weakens to a low pressure area
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical depression Ofel (international name: Usagi) has weakened into a low pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Saturday evening. In its 11 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Ofel was last spotted 220 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes, and moving in a west-northwestward direction “slowly.”
