P1000 monthly pension for 3.7M seniors in 2024’s first half – DSWD
MANILA, Philippines — More than 3.7 million indigent senior citizens received a P1,000 monthly pension from January to June 2024, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced on Wednesday. DSWD Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Irene Dumlao said the agency disbursed P21.8 billion for the first half of 2024 to 3,723,323 indigent senior citizens
