P1,500 a day to gather people’s initiative signatures, says Senate witness


MANILA, Philippines — Jocelyn Movera, a Bukidnon native, testified in the Senate on Tuesday that some individuals gathering signatures for the amendment of the 1987 Constitution are paid P1,500 per day.   Movera disclosed this during the Senate committee on electoral reforms and people’s participation, saying she received P3,000 from certain Adonis Gonzales and Adonis Ragasi.
