Town councilor in Nueva Ecija gunned down
SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija, Philippines — A municipal councilor in this town was fatally shot early Thursday by unidentified assailants on a motorbike, police said. Roberto Carpio, a resident of Barangay Luyos and a two-term member of the municipal council, was driving his motorcycle when ambushed around 7:30 a.m. by two men wearing black shirts
