MANILA, Philippines — Class suspensions were imposed in several schools in Metro Manila and Cavite amid stormy weather due to Typhoon Carina (international name: Gaemi). In the capital city of Manila, Mayor Honey Lacuna suspended elementary and high school classes for private schools due to the Yellow Rainfall Warning issued by the state weather agency.
